Hays Electrical Services is proud to have completed the electrical renovation of the UTMB TDCJ North Infirmary at the University of Texas Medical Branch, located in the John Sealy Annex in Galveston, Texas. This public‑funded project covered roughly 21,817 sq ft across the second and third floors of the Annex building 91. Our scope included demolition and reinstallation of full power distribution systems, LED lighting with occupancy controls, emergency circuits, nurse‑call integration, and coordination with mechanical, plumbing, and communications utilities all executed to current healthcare codes.
Working within an active hospital environment demanded a phased coordination approach to maintain full functionality of the emergency, clinical, and inmate care areas during construction.
